KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — What’s better than one Kollywood star coming to Malaysia? Two Kollywood stars coming to Malaysia, of course!
Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan are coming to our shores for the same event next year, according to The News Minute.
The two actors are reportedly coming to Malaysia for a star cricket tournament that is scheduled to be held on January 6, 2018.
Revealed at the 64th General Body Meeting of Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artistes’ Association), the match is said to raise fund for the construction of the association’s building at T. Nagar, Chennai.
A similar star match was also held last year with massive success, and repeating the pattern, both Haasan and Rajinikanth will once again grace the opening and closing ceremonies alongside other actors, whose names will be revealed in coming days.
Other than the cricket tournament, Nadigar Sangam is also planning for other events to further raise funds, including a Star Night in Malaysia that will feature dance and music by acclaimed film stars.
Rajinikanth will next be seen in 2.0, the sequel to blockbuster Endhiran, when it opens in India in January 2018, while Haasan will grace India’s big screen again this October 18 in Vishwaroopam 2. — CinemaOnline
