LOS ANGELES, Jan 1 — Ed Sheeran is preparing himself for “New Year’s annihilation”.
The 23-year-old Grammy-nominated musician is known for his love of having a good time.
And New Year’s Eve will also be filled with merriment for Ed, as “The A Team star” shared a picture of a table covered in bottles of booze yesterday.
“Ready for New Years annihilation,” he wrote in the Instagram image caption.
To be exact, bottles of Jagermeister, Jose Cuervo and a mini-keg of Broadside were put on display in the photograph. The alcoholic beverages are being served on a One Direction tablecloth.
The British singer-songwriter enjoyed a wonderful 2014, with his second album ‘x’ taking the charts by storm following its release in June.
But humble Ed found meeting legendary musician Van Morrison the highlight of his year.
The star was so excited about it at the time; he posted a message on Twitter, describing the experience as “incredible”.
“Van Morrison,” he told BBC Newsbeat when questioned about who the musical hero mentioned in his tweet was.
“Growing up as a kid, he was the person I listened to starting off, so being able to chat to him for two hours… it kind of made my job feel very, very surreal. We chatted about music and what is happening now, in the digital age.”
Ed recently revealed he may try to do something totally different for his forthcoming third studio album.
“In my head I’ve always seen the third record as where I get a band. The first gig we did on this tour was the [club] Barfly in London, so I’ve gone from the Barfly to Wembley [stadium venue] with a loop pedal. After that there’s not much you can do with a loop pedal,” Ed admitted to British newspaper The Sun previously. — Cover Media
