KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 — Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun today confirmed that Tune Talk chief executive officer Jason Lo was detained in Dubai in September to assist investigations into a fighting case and not because of drugs.
He said the fight at the Dubai International Airport involved his friend but in the end it was him who was detained by the Dubai authorities.
“He was not detained for drugs as made out to be by some local news portals.
“For now, we are waiting for a full report from the Dubai authorities as we are also looking into the case,” he told Bernama.
Local media had reported that the CEO of the telco returned to Malaysia on Tuesday. — Bernama
