Cops nab fifth suspect in low-cost housing fraud probe

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 13 ― The Royal Malaysian Police detained a local man to facilitate investigations into a low-cost housing scam allegedly involving DBI Properties and Syarikat Juta Kelulut Global Resources.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department deputy director Datuk A. Thaiveegan said the suspect was nabbed at a restaurant in Setapak today and handed over to the Wangsa Maju District Commercial Crime Investigation Division for investigation under Section 420 of the Penal Code.
“There was no seizure, while the remand application on the suspect would be done tomorrow,” he said in a statement.
On the four suspects currently under remand ― Nuruliman A Rahman also known as Boy Iman and three others aged between 30 and 45, including a woman, he said they were being held at Kangar District Police Headquarters in Perlis. ― Bernama
