How to make crunchy, tasty fried tofu shrimp balls (VIDEO)


NEW YORK, April 15 ― It’s Friday night, you plan on having a movie marathon with friends and you’re in need of a quick finger food recipe. Don’t worry, we’ve got your back.

This clip by YouTube channel Tasty will show you quickly you’ll be able to whip up fried tofu shrimp balls that are sure to be a hit with the gang.

You’ll need these ingredients for this recipe: 4oz of medium firm tofu, 1/2lb of minced shrimp, 3/4 cup of diced water chestnuts, 3 garlic cloves, 1/2 tbsp of ginger, 2 tsp of salt, 2 tsp of white pepper,1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, flour, egg, panko and oil for frying.

You’ll also need soy sauce, chilli garlic sauce and green onions for this dipping sauce.

Combine the tofu, shrimp, water chestnuts, cloves, ginger, salt, white pepper, soy sauce and sesame oil until well combined.

With the mixture, form into balls about the size of ping pong balls. Dust the balls in flour, dip in egg and cover in panko.

Fry until crispy and golden brown. Mix together the dipping sauce or enjoy with your own favourite sauce.
